We’re based in O’Connor, but our easy-access location so close to the city is so convenient for parents traveling to and from work!
Your Home Away From Home Kindergarten
We understand that children learn so much better in a comfortable, happy and safe environment. At SPK Early Learning Centre, we’ve created an environment that feels so much more like home than the big, corporate childcare centres. Rather than a cold, generic environment, we like to think we offer a home away from home. Mums and dads just love the feeling of warmth they get when coming into our kindergarten.
With real trees, fresh air and shared outdoor areas, we offer such an amazing environment for your children, and we want you to see it for yourself. This isn’t just daycare - it’s a family oriented, nurturing place for children to share new experiences and learn together.

Educators
Our early learning childcare educators bring with them a range of experience, and many of them are mums too! They pride themselves on helping children explore the world around them with care and compassion. You child’s safety is never compromised at SPK Early Learning Centre.
We don’t separate children into rooms, meaning all of our educators know all of our children. Even our director knows each and every child and their parents. No matter what your child needs throughout the day, there’s always a friendly face they know and trust.
Real Learning Through Structure and Play
One of the many reasons parents choose SPK Early Learning Centre is our dedicated commitment to real learning. Because we don’t cater to babies, we don’t need to break children up into rooms. Rather, we only have two groups which are pre-preschoolers and preschoolers. This gives our kindergarten a real feeling of a mini-school.
Structured learning and play-based learning receive an equal focus here, and feedback from families tells us they love our slightly more structured approach. Don’t worry, our kids still have plenty of fun, and our programs are very flexible to adapt to children’s interest and what’s happening in our community.
We have dedicated curriculums for a range of subjects and the goals of the Early Years Learning Framework are applied to all of our learning activities.
Our open plan, inclusive environment gives your children a great opportunity to develop their social skills too. We put an emphasis on all children being included, so everyone can learn with kindness, respect and a care for others. We’re not just a regular daycare centre - we want your children to leave us with all the skills they need for a smooth transition to school.
Beautiful Shared Play Areas
Our beautiful indoor and outdoor areas are designed for children to enjoy together. When not working in their age-specific groups, children are encouraged to intermingle in our shared play areas. This creates a real sense of community, and we love seeing the older children learning to care for the younger ones.
Play is extremely inclusive at SPK Early Learning Centre, and children develop a strong sense of social responsibility that we love helping to grow. It’s also a great environment for siblings, who may do age-appropriate learning activities apart but still have plenty of shared time together.

We love having mums and dads involved in their child’s kindergarten experience. From your very first visit, we want you to feel welcome and part of our community. We love talking to parents about a child’s interests and needs, because adapting learning activities to a child’s individual interests is a big part of what we do.
We understand that many parents have time constraints, so we’re not pushy - but we do offer plenty of opportunities for you to get involved in our centre’s activities if you wish. It’s all part of the inclusive, community focused environment we’ve created. Most of all, you and your child have the opportunity to know all of our educators and feel comfortable that your child is in safe hands.
